Bio

Chris Broom was born in Brighton, East Sussex, England and attended Canford School in Dorset where he studied music.

In 2013 Chris joined forces with arranger Patrick Jonsson to record several of Chris’s compositions at Air-Edel Studio, London. These included “Dolce Vento” which has subsequently been recorded by many artists and played on over 50 Classical radio stations worldwide.

Chris continues to write and record with many Classical Crossover artists including Jonathan Antoine, Classical Reflection, Alessandra Paonessa, Anna O’Byrne and Natalia Krishtopets. 

In 2016 Chris composed four songs for and co-produced Jonathan Antoine’s Official Classical Chart No.1 Album, “Believe”.

In 2017 Chris’s composition “La Nostra Patria” won the Open Category in the prestigious “UK Songwriting Contest.”

Between 2019 and 2021 Chris co-produced and composed several songs for Lucy Thomas’s first three albums “Premiere”, “Encore” and “Timeless”.

Chris’s song “Suddenly” which appears on Lucy Thomas’s first album “Premiere” was Winner of the Open Category of The UK Songwriting Contest 2019 and International Songwriting Award 2019/2020.

Chris is currently working on the score of his first Musical, “Rosie.”
